The Zimbabwe School Examination Council has cleared the false news circulating on Social media that Grade 7 results are out. A Whatsapp message circulating appeared to have led CapiTalk and Starfm which later on reversed their statements on Wednesday.
In a report published by the online tabloid Zimlive the results are likely to be out in the upcoming week.
The Harare Voice Presents The Statements In full From Zim Live
The results are not yet out. We have to ask parents and pupils to be slightly patient with us. As you will recall, exams ended a week before christmas and marking only started after the New Year. We have not taken more time than prebious years, its just that the sitting of the exams and the marking started late, compared to prior years. Marking may have ended. Now we are engaged in the process of grading the marks awarded by the markers, and then we will release the results. Thats a week at least.

The examination board also urged abstaining proclamation of the results as it would cause unnecessary panic to this young age group. The delay in the publication of exams is also attributed to the introduction of Continuous Assessment Learning Activity (CALA) to the written examination mark which is causing an increase in the workload.
