What we expect from you.

· Take a proactive role in the development of the People Strategy and take part in the implementation of the strategy and any other major HR related change programmes

· Initiate, design and execute integrated people solutions that align to business strategies

· Collaborate with Business in the development and review of structures to maintain optimum staffing levels

· Oversee the recruitment of staff in line with policy, procedures and employment laws


· Monitor and guide Business on the application of the Performance Management System in order to maximize employee contribution and build a high performance culture

· Establish and maintain congenial Industrial relations environment through constant engagements with Management and Workers

· Represent the Company at relevant NECs and Employer Organisations to establish rapport at industry level

· Translate key data into effective and commercially focused HR and people practices, working with Business to influence the best course of action

· Participate in HR related projects to deliver expected outcomes within the project scope objectives.

· Set performance targets, monitor and review performance of subordinates

Qualifications, Skills and experience required

· A relevant 3 or 4-year degree from a recognized University/ College, i.e. Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences or similar.

· Certifications in People Management studies.

· At least 5 years’ relevant experience of which 3 should be at Senior Management level. Previous experience with Agriculture related businesses would be an advantage.

· Good understanding of Organisational behavior and ability to manage behavior diversity in a large Institution.

· Ability to think and act strategically with skills in planning, organizing and execute tasks.

· Good communication, interpersonal, leadership and People management skills.

· Maturity and in-depth understanding of Labour Legislation and other employment laws.
