Applicants should come in person at Gweru Polytechnic at 0900 hours on the dates indicated below:

  • Electrical Engineering, Education: 25 October 2022
  • Automotive Engineering: 26 October 2022
  • Mechanical Engineering Applied Arts and Sciences: 27 October 2022
  • Information Science & Technology, Business Studies, Management Studies: 28 October 2022

Minimum Entry Qualifications

For all National Certificate (NC) courses:

  • Five (5) Ordinary Levels, with Grade C or better including English Language.
  • For Business Studies and Information Technology, ‘0’ Level Mathematics is a requirement.
  • For Engineering disciplines, a Science subject and Mathematics at ‘ 0’ level are required. Relevant NFC subjects will be considered.

For National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND), applicants must possess the relevant NC and ND respectively.

For ND in Technical and Vocational Education (HEXCO), applicants must possess ND or equivalent, NC plus Class One Journeyman Certificate (for Engineering) in area of specialization.

Documents Required

  • An application form obtainable from the Gwer’u Polytechnic website (www.gwerupoly.ac.zw).The form is also available from Gweru Polytechnic.
  • Original certificates plus two (2) sets of certified copies of birth certificate, national certificates ID and academic and/or professional certificates

Handling Fees: All applicants will pay a non-refundable handling fee of US$10 or equivalent which can be paid on or before the interview date can Proof of payment is required. Applicants are advised to pay early.
