Security Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruits, train and supervises Security Guards.
  • Monitors security manning levels at all depots within area of responsibility.
  • Ensures all GMB buildings/depots and establishments are adequately secured.
  • Carryout risk and security surveys.
  • Carryout both criminal and non-criminal/misconduct investigations.
  • Recovers losses through restitutions, insurance and follow ups.
  • Liaises with Government security agents and judiciary officers on matters of GMB interests.
  • Review and enforces compliance to internal controls to minimize risk exposure to GMB assets.
  • Enforces provisions of the Grain Marketing Act.
  • Follow up on all cases at courts, police and provide updates.
  • Submits reports of all investigations and activities to the Regional Enterprise Risk Officer.
  • Carries out due diligence and inspections.
  • Supervises and monitors performance of subordinates.
  • Adheres to and ensure adherence to Safety, Health and Environment regulations and standards.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Superior.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree/Higher Diploma in Security and Risk Management or equivalent.
  • A post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence is a must.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a law enforcement or security environment.  Good report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of investigation, criminal procedures and risk management processes.
  • Must be deadline driven.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Computer skills.

Treasury Controller

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assesses, monitors, plans and manages the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectivesef the organisation.
  • Evaluates, develops and implements cash management systems to optimize efficiencies.
  • Assists in the opening of bank and loan accounts.
  • Monitors loan recoveries and repayments on monthly basis.
  • Ensures banking is done timeously as per policy.
  • Maintains a security register.
  • Manages long-term and short term investment strategies.
  • Manages relationships with financial service providers.
  • Produces daily cash flow forecasts. Produces monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Produces daily and monthly treasury reports.
  • Monitors all issues regarding bank signing arrangements and bank enquiries.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Superior.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking.
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Busi ness Ad m in istration is an added advantage.
  • A professional qualification in Accounting i.e. (CIMA/ACCA/ CA/CIS) is an added advantage.
  • 3 years’ experience in similar role. Accuracy with figures.
  • Good supervisory skills.
  • High degree of initiative in the daily execution of duties.
  • Knowledge in SAP Accounting Software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity.
  • Self-driven and business sense.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Analyst Programmer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs, codes, tests and implements ABAP solutions for break/fix problems and change requests.
  • Investigates and resolves production problems.
  • Provides impact assessments for changes requested by the users.
  • Provides user support.
  • Maintains system and support documentation.
  • Supports regression and end to end testing.
  • Develops SAP reports.
  • Designs and develops SAP forms, interfaces with SAP and other systems.
  • Implements business systems.
  • Designs a solution architecture of the system.
  • Coordinates with vendors for system enhancements to keep abreast with technological changes and needs of the organization.
  • Checks the functionality of the current system to ensure the system is fully utilized and identify the need for training for other users.
  • Trains users on how to operate the SAP software after a review of the system.
  • Responds to user problems concerning SAP to ensure the operations of the organization are running effectively.
  • Reviews software in use to maintain compatibility with technological advancement.
  • Documents all new systems or programs for referencing.
  • Documents user requirements.
  • Develops and implements computerized information system.
  • Installs and configures systems packages.
  • Develops manual for in-house development systems and customized SAP programs after mpletion of new system. Recommends backup strategy to the Computer Systems Manager.
  • Any other work related duties recommended by the superior.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • ABAP certification is a must.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Programming.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP.
  • Excellent communication Skills.
  • Excellent analytical Skills.
  • Good technical skills.
