Purpose of the position

The Digital Communications and Publicity Coordinator supports and maintains key digital communications activities for the including the website(s), email marketing, social media, cross-platform analytics, and digital (search and social) advertising. This position is an integral member of the Marketing and Communications Department, and collaborates within and across departments to fulfil organizational goals and milestones. Specifically, the

Digital Communications and Publicity Coordinator works to increase organisational programing visibility, most significant stories of change and social media audience engagement and growth.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Publish, edit, and update website pages
  • Working in conjunction with the IT Coordinator the office holder shall ensure the CST website content and online postings are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure quality of web pages by formatting, copyediting, proofreading, ensuring consistent style and brand voice.
  • Support the execution of sponsored content placements across our web properties.
  • Collect and review web utilization data; monitor analytics and make recommendations for improved performance.
  • Serve as in-house expert on our web properties; Train content contributors on formatting and publishing to the web.

  • Ensure that the Trust’s social media channels remain responsive, innovative, collaborative and engaging.
  • Stay informed on emerging online communications tools, social media trends, and best practices.
  • Execute on the social media strategic plan and oversee the Trust’s presence on all social media platforms (Including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube) by responding to comments and messages and engaging with influencers.
  • Write copy and schedule social media posts.
  • Create and implement strategies to increase the number of fans/followers and to
  • increase audience engagement on social media platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of thoughtful and engaging content strategy.
  • As needed, evaluate efforts and advise when social channels should be retired and/or when new channels should be explored.
  • Update the shared content publishing calendar.
  • Coordinate, edit, build, and distribute outbound email campaigns to support Trust programs and initiatives, including newsletters, advocacy alerts, automated/triggered messages, and event promotions.
  • Create and implement lead generation strategies to increase our subscriber base.
  • Support routine maintenance and clean-up of email list.
  • Graphic designing of organisational print and digital content.
  • Editing and reviewing of videos and picture for reporting and making documentaries.
  • Contribute to the preparation of regular and campaign-specific reports on website and digital communications performance to relevant staff

Information and Technology Coordinator – Children Support Trust

Purpose of the position

IT, or information technology, coordinators help businesses maintain their computers and networking systems. Making sure that our programing has state of the art technological component.

The incumbent will be also responsible of CST E-management systems.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first level and frontline for helpdesk technical support requests, interacting with local and remote users to aid and troubleshoot.
  • Provide technical support to corporate applications and ICT software that is and not limited to: -Office365, Migrant Applications, CST Electronic Management Systems, Internet security, Mobile Applications website, email, domain, CST database and mobile application).
  • Provide technical support with the installation and maintenance of servers, computers, and peripherals.
  • Assist with the monitoring of workstations, servers, LAN, and WAN equipment (e.g. Firewall, switches, Wi-Fi access points, Microsoft Intune, backup, and antivirus systems).
  • Assist with the administration of servers, Active Directory, corporate antivirus systems, and corporate backup.
  • Contribute with system upgrades and IT infrastructure changes.
  • Provide induction, guidance, and training on CST IT systems, devices, and network usage to end-users to facilitate productive use of existing and new systems.
  • Maintain an IT inventory of active and retired equipment, including regular updates to the technical documentation of the IT network.

Qualifications And Experience

  • University diploma or degree in information systems, computer science, telecommunications, electronic engineering, and relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in direct user technical support and computer, network and communication equipment troubleshooting
  • Supporting Office 365 and cloud-based solutions in AWS or Azure.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot end-user computer’s problems including Windows Operating Systems, Cisco VPN Connectivity, Microsoft Office, etc. Including remote troubleshooting tools
  • Manage users in Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Office 365
  • Capacity to configure networking equipment including switches, firewalls, routers (e.g., Cisco, Riverbed).
  • Knowledge in administering corporate antivirus and corporate backup systems
  • Managing videoconferencing systems

Purpose of the position

The MERLI LEAD will provide oversight technical support and supervision of CST staff involved in a number of Programming of the Organisation .The MERLI LEAD works directly with the programs staff for efficient and timely compilation and submission of accurate reports from field sites and maintains an appropriate filling system of received data and reports including maintaining, updating CST- PROJECTS, Programs Monitoring and Evaluation System. Consolidating and Reporting MERLI Information. The MERLI LEAD will have a functional supporting and supervisory role to the CST Team and should demonstrate strong engagement on Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Documentation, Core Humanitarian Standards, Accountability, while mainstreaming Gender, Child Protection, Disability and Compliance issues.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • To put in place functional planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems and strategies for Programmes/Projects including maintaining an updated CPPMES that enables real-time tracking of project performance against targets.
  • In collaboration with respective Programs Coordinators, come up with innovative project ideas, proposals, formulate and ensure effective implementation of Project Monitoring and Evaluation Plans.
  • In collaboration with Programs Staff and external stakeholders, provide technical support on targeting and CST Sponsored beneficiary registration and verification processes and ensure compliance to selection criteria.
  • Provide technical assistance in the preparation of periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, half year and annual) at all Levels. This also includes regularly updating the project indicator tracker and timely sharing of the same to guide management decision making.
  • Support programme teams on monthly data collection, ensuring data are verified before entry to relevant databases and that databases are up to date and accurate before exporting or sharing. This may also require periodic on-site data verification exercises to verify reports and data submitted using monitoring instruments, observation, personnel interview and final reports to be shared.
  • Contribute to CST MERLI component in proposal writing through the development of appropriate logical frameworks and monitoring plans as per donor specifications.
  • To improve the quality of CST’s interventions by strengthening institutional memory and lesson learning through a systematized approach to recording, documenting and internalizing experience with optimum participation of internal and external stakeholders.
  • In coordination with respective technical persons, identify and document cases (success and failure stories) for learning, scale-up and proposal development
  • Facilitate bi-annual organizational review and reflection process in addition to providing technical assistance to project teams in conducting regular review and reflection processes.
  • Support the design and implementation of research studies, surveys and assessments (rapid and comprehensive) ensuring the effective participation of all project stakeholders.
  • Take a leading and supportive role in the planning and design of research studies, assessments or surveys through the development of Terms of Reference and relevant data collection tools (paper based and electronic).
  • Coordinate the process of all (internal and external) field surveys, baseline, mid-term and terminal evaluations and Monitoring at Project Levels. This also includes providing required technical assistance in undertaking operational research at Project Level and in/with partner organizations
  • Plan and coordinate data quality assurance, including frequent data auditing and data spot checks for the CST Programmes.
  • Ensure that the results of surveys and ongoing monitoring, including consultations with beneficiaries, is made available in a user-friendly format for programme design and decision-making.
  • Support the dissemination of research/assessment findings internally and to external stakeholders.
  • Lead Knowledge Attitudes and Practices survey on protection risks and reporting on child protection violations.
  • Coordinate Programme Operational Analytical survey. Lead the planning, design and coordination of the project evaluations including reviewing reports.
  • Support programme teams in establishing and running effective project-based Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFMs). Support the production of regular internal (and external) reports on information sharing, complaint trends, response procedures, policies and other relevant issues.

Qualifications And Experience

  • A degree in Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics and Operations Research, Strategic Planning or related studies.
  • A post graduate degree in research and or monitoring and evaluation will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience with participatory, quantitative, and qualitative methods
  • Proven analytical report writing skills in English (required) and proven ability to give attention to detail.
  • Computer skills – word-processing, spreadsheets, SPSS experience required. MIS, mobile data collection applications and computer database experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and independently within a multicultural team with differing areas of expertise

Programs Coordinators – Children Support Trust

Purpose of the position:

We are looking for a knowledgeable PC who will be responsible for projects programing and designing that is sensitive to humanitarian ethics. The office holder will be responsible for feasibility assessments and proposal development. The candidate should have extensive abilities to manage number of projects.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary professional team in project implementation in close collaboration with major partners and stakeholders
  • Ensure all team members clearly understand and carry out their duties in accordance with personal work-plans, humanitarian principles, core values and the Code of Conduct
  • Ensure existing human resources needs are fully assessed, identified, described and communicated, in collaboration with the HR.
  • Promote productive work environment respectful of the Code of Conduct with zero tolerance for verbal and physical abuse or discrimination against other persons on the grounds of race, colour, sex or creed.
  • Ensure all team members are fully briefed on all aspects of victims of separation and divorce, security, social and cultural norms and local conditions and behaviour.
  • Create the conditions to ensure effective teamwork and morale is strictly observed.
  • Conduct periodic performance appraisals of team members and provide timely feedback.
  • Ensure logistical resources demands are fully assessed, identified, described and communicated
  • Identify training needs and work with HR department to develop and implement relevant training plans.
  • Communicate effectively on usage, procedures and relevant communications protocols to all emergency response team.
  • Lead in the development and proposal writing of humanitarian and rehabilitation projects in line with areas of programming distinctiveness of the organisation.
  • Coordinate effectively the development of all project implementation plans and budgets within the framework of the agreed emergency response programme and strategy.
  • Ensure effective budget management at field level, including correct coding of expenses and adherence to CST financial management guidelines and donor requirements.
  • Coordinate the designing/development of response to the needs of our target dividend projects and ensure projects are effectively implemented, monitored/reviewed, evaluated and progress and final reports are timely compiled and shared with CST lead Management
  • Provide continuous technical and organizational support and capacity building to field team partners and stakeholders.
  • Make regular visits to field to provide field staff support and address programmatic challenges.
  • Ensure the MERLI LEAD, the Executive Director, and Team Leaders are kept informed about assessment progress, implementation and strategies, project plans, progress reports, and other significant developments;
  • Ensure different thematic/sectoral activities are implemented in a coordinated and integrated manner;
  • Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with the agreed work-plans and proposals
  • Assist and advise the CST with securing donor funding for projects.
  • Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with other NGO’s, UN agencies, local government, bilateral and multilateral donors, and other principle stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the Donor and Government reporting is done and submitted on time in accordance with their reporting template and within their reporting schedule.
  • Coordinate and support local level assessments, surveys and other studies and assist proposal development to finance projects
  • Support pragmatic project design and proposal for institutional and public funding
  • Maintain on-going surveillance of the developing humanitarian situations and in consultation with the Team Leaders and The Executive Director

Qualifications And Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree in Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities i.e Development studies, Social Work, Sociology or other related fields is required
  • A post graduate qualification is an added advantage
  • Relevant experience, Proposal writing, programing and managing budgets
