Shipping And Distribution Clerk

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the above-mentioned position within the Transport and Logistics Department. The incumbent will report to the Shipping and Distribution Officer and will be based at Head Office.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Facilitates movement of exports and imports.
  • Raises loading instructions in liaison with shipping and distributing officer.
  • Tracks goods in transit.
  • Raises truck hire quotations for transporters.
  • Raises purchase requisitions manually and computing into SAP.
  • Reconciles stocks weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Produces daily stocks report and weekly cabinet report.
  • Confirms loading instructions.
  • Budgets for goods movement.
  • Routes and schedules trucks.
  • Performs any other work related duties as assigned by the Superior.

Qualifications And Experience

  • 5 ‘O’ levels subjects including English Language and Mathematics or Principles of Accounts.
  • Diploma in Business Studies / Transport and Logistics/Customs and Legislation/ Freight Forward Practice/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience in Transport and Logistics Office.

  • Communication skills.
  • Excellent Computer skills.
  • Excellent Analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to work extra hours should the need arise.
  • SAP Knowledge is an added advantage.

Assistant Management Accountant

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the above-mentioned position. The incumbent will report to the Management Accountant and will be based at Head Office.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Organise periodic stock takes and prepare inventory reconciliations for all business locations.
  • Ensures integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
  • Supervise the Farmer Payments Section and ensure that payments and queries are addressed timeously.
  • Performs functional configuration tasks for the SAP Materials Management modules to satisfy requests from end users for fixes, changes and enhancements.
  • Trains users and supports training in the usage of SAP Materials Management System functionality.
  • Maintains Materials Management data and information.

  • Conducts Materials Management processes tests during system upgrades.
  • Prepares the Board’s annual Recurrent and Capital budgets.
  • Prepares the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) Budget as required for inclusion in the National budget.
  • Sets budget guidelines and circulating templates to all departmental heads and depots.
  • Produces Monthly Variance Analysis reports for revenues and expenditures.
  • Checks and authorize on a daily basis all expenditure request both recrrent and capital ensuring adhesence to budget limits.
  • Prepares product profitability analysis on a monthly basis and recomending price adjustments.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking.
  • A professional qualification in Accounting i.e. (CIMA/ ACCA/ CIS) will be an added advantage.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Permanent Mechanical Handyman

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the above-mentioned positions within the Technical Services Department.

The incumbent will report to the respective Resident Fitter and will be based at Bulawayo, Aspindale, Bindura, Banket, Lionsden x2, Gweru, Gokwe, Murewa, Magunje, Mukwichi, Chiredzi, Guruve, Timbermills, Mhangura and Concession. 

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Participates in all maintenance works at your respective depot
  • Participates in the day to day running of the workshop, plant, equipment and all infrastructure.
  • Conducts daily and weekly plant inspections in order to come up with a weekly plant performance report.
  • Procures workshop consumables and equipment spare parts to replenish workshop stock.
  • Enforces healthy and safety standards on a daily basis.

  • Ensures safe working environment for all staff at the depot.
  • Participates in annual plant overhaul as and when necessary. Assist the Resdent Fitter in excuting all the engineering tasks as assigned
  • Supervises contractors and initiates threir payment by raising proper documantation
  • Control and accounts for all sparees and material usage during major repairs and overhauls
  • Prepares and submit accidents/incidents report to NSSA
  • Mantains accurate records for spares and materials in the workshop stores
  • Any other related duties as asignred by the superior

Qualifications And Experience

  • 5 ‘O’ Levels including English language and Mathematics.
  • Class 2 Journeyman Certificate in Mechanical/ Fabrication/ Electrical Engineering.
  • Two years’ experience in related Engineering field.

Core Competencies

  • Very good analytic and risk management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering works.
  • Ability to design, fabricate and modify engineering components with or without drawings.
  • Ability to manage and control workshop assets and tools.
  • Ability to manage spares inventory.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • High level of safety consciousness and self-driven
  • Team Player
