Family Aid Caring Trust (FACT) is a Christian national development NGO based in Zimbabwe. FACT implements sustainable development initiatives to improve people’s livelihood, Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), HIV Prevention, HIV and AIDS care and support as well as health activities. FACT seeks the services of a National Accountability Framework Officer to be based in Harare as detailed below:

  • Position: National Accountability Framework Officer
  • Reporting to: National Co-ordinator
  • Purpose of the position: The National Accountability Framework Officer is responsible for implementing, coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the Global Fund supported Community Systems Strengthening project. S/he will work with and closely supervise the District Accountability Framework Officers (DAFOs) across 4 districts in Zimbabwe.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work directly under the National Coordinator providing support to the National Coordinator
  • Support FACT & SSRs implementation districts and reporting directly to National Coordinator
  • Supervise direct implementation of program activities under FACT & SSRs implementation districts
  • Receives requests and processes the requests by FACT & SSRs implementation districts
  • Provide guidance on quality roll out of project model across all Accountability implementation districts
  • Provide guidance on implementation, strategy and direction to Accountability Districts using the different accountability models and strategies
  • Receive and consolidate reports for FACT & SSRs implementation districts
  • Ensuring that results under FACT & SSRs implementation districts are supported
  • Identifies gaps and savings in the project at activity and district level and communicates the gaps to the National Coordinator
  • Captures best practices and success stories resulting from community events in relation to programme implementation
  • Assists in the development of information, education and communication material through designing appropriate messages
  • Ensures the timeous production and submission of activity monthly, quarterly annual statistical and narrative reports
  • Ensures district offices are properly maintained, supported and are functional

Qualifications And Experience

  • Minimum of university degree in Social Science or Health Promotion or any other related degree.
  • Postgrad diploma or qualifications in AGYW SRHR, and Community level accountability models will be a distinct advantage.
  • 5 years relevant experience in promoting accountability, advocacy and SRHR services at district level and supporting Community Systems Strengthening interventions
  • Demonstrable monitoring and evaluation skills
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports
  • Ability to speak and communicate in local languages an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Clean class 4 driver’s license a MUST.
