The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested a man after he was found in possession of several drugs.
The man who goes by the name of Philani Ndlovu was found in possession of Crystal Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Dagga.
The man was arrested after detectives received a tip-off and arrested Philani Ndlovu aged 35 for unlawful possession of approximately 2 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine with a street value of ZWL$ 5100, approximately 2.17 grams of Cocaine with a street value of 13 200 and 190grams of loose dagga with a street value of ZWL$1700
In other news, a man killed his stepson over a misunderstanding. The Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested a man after he killed his stepson. The man Isa Phiri (43) of Kingsdale suburb is being accused of fatally assaulting his stepson Tafadzwa Sibanda aged 33.
The man is alleged to have assaulted his stepson with fists and stones after the deceased had come home late and drunk.
According to a report by New Zimbabwe, a fight arose after the deceased was questioned on why he came back home late on which the deceased was overpowered.
After the father realized that his son had passed out he called an ambulance which took the deceased to a Mpilo hospital where he, later on, died after three days.
The police received a tip-off after the burial that highlighted that the deceased had passed on after a fight between the stepfather and stepson.
The Police then made a follow-up with the Queen’s Park hospital where they realized that no report was made in relation to the crime.
The ZRP went to Phiri homestead and arrested him in connection with the crime.
