Next month, King Charles will welcome the president of South Africa at Buckingham Palace for the first state visit of his reign.
President Cyril Ramaphosa and his wife, First Lady Tshepo Motsepe, have accepted the King and Queen Consort’s invitation to visit.
The visit will take place between November 22 and November 24.
It is believed that the trip was in the planning phases before to the Queen’s death in September.
It will be the first formal visit to the UK by a South African leader in more than a decade, with Jacob Zuma visiting the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2010.
