Teachers Reject Government 20% Salary Increase and Other Fringe Benefits

Teachers have rejected the proposed 20% salary increase and other Fringe benefits. This comes after the government had offered teachers a 20% increase including other fringe benefits that include payment of school fees for civil servants biological children
amongst others

However, the Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe have rejected the offer citing that it was a laughable increment, and teachers were incapacitated until their pre-October 540 Usd Salaries are restored
